WILDLIFE IN MANAS NATIONAL PARK
Manas National Park, located adjacent to the Himalayan foothills of Bhutan, is one of Assam’s lesser explored gem. An UNESCO recognized natural world heritage site, Manas National Park boats of an incredible diversity in flora and fauna. It’s jungles and grasslands teem with predators and preys, and myriad varieties of colorful and exotic birds. Manas is also one of the few places in India where wildlife enthusiasts can embark on a night safari, where floodlights mounted on the jeeps show a glimpse of nightlife in the jungle. In this tour, you will get a chance to go in 2 jeep safaris which will take you to the interiors of the wildlife haven. An incredible chance to witness many wild species; among which common are elephants, deers, leopards and if lucky, an occasional tiger. You will go for short hikes for bird-watching, and get to interact with the tribal people who live sustainably around the national park. Staying in cottages run by ex-poachers, you will be supporting them in their endeavors for conservation and community development.

Minimum persons required – 1
Drive from Guwahati Airport to Manas National Park (3 hours). Evening at leisure. Bonfire can be arranged. Your stay will be in community run eco-cottages.
Day 2, 3
Go for two jeep safaris inside Manas National Park, till the hills of Bhutan. Encounter thrilling wildlife such as large preys and predators. Go for birdwatching/nature walks around periphery of the national park. Visit tribal villages around the park and meet and interact with the locals. Learn about their sustainable ways of life. Other times at leisure.
Leave for Guwahati Airport for a flight back home.
